Demand Analyst

Reporting to: Planning Manager

Reporting to the Planning Manager, the Demand Analyst will be responsible for running the forecasting/demand and allocation planning processes at Kotahi, ensuring that our demand forecasts accurately predict the demand behaviour of our customers, and that this prediction is effectively engaged to secure the appropriate allocation of capacity on export vessels or any other product used to provision a service.

The demand analyst engages and collaborates with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, utilising formal forums, commercial acumen and strong communication skills to ensure the accurate integration of commercial demand perspectives, insights and drivers into Kotahi demand plans and support of downstream equipment planning processes.

The demand analyst is responsible for the accurate management of planning data and configuration of planning systems, to ensure automated deliver of highly accurate demand and allocation plans. The demand analyst critically examines performance metrics and feedback loops to drive continuous improvement of planning performance across Kotahi and achievement of strategic imperatives as detailed/updated by the Planning Manager and/or the GM of Operations.

Performance Analyst

Reporting to: Operations Improvement Manager

The purpose of the role is primarily to lead transition from reporting to insights by providing expert analysis on the Operations Performance Measurement Dashboard results against the agreed business target. You will also be the key driver to communicate the performance evaluation to Business Leaders to drive improved performance management.

The role will be responsible for:

  • Taking ownership in providing timely, accurate and consistent analysis on Operations Performance results to the Operations Business Leaders / teams in a structured and effective manner.
  • Collaborating with different functions in the business to define, design and develop analytic solutions to improve standards and mitigate risk.
  • Taking ownership for the design to deploy of the performance review governance within Operations and ensure compliance to governance.
  • Installing Quality control to ensure compliance to new or changes in processes within Operations processes.
  • Participating in a governance process, facilitating/escalating appropriate remedial actions to a responsible Kotahi function, ensuring failure to incidents are resolved.
  • Driving the continuous improvement systemic approach within Operations function and being the change agent in fostering a Performance Management mindset within Operations.

To be successful in this role, you will need a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a similar role, and a tertiary qualification. You will also have experience working in supply chains and a demonstrated understanding of supply chain value drivers. Practical knowledge of Power BI or other reporting systems as well as demonstrated experience with APS and ERP systems would be advantageous.
