Marketing & Insights Manager

The purpose of the role  

  • Owns the delivery of insight and business intelligence, making recommendations and implementing improvements to better service our customers 
  • Provide sales with models to aid targeting and understanding of customer behaviour. Ensure these models are implemented and understand by the business 
  • Pulls insights from CRM and relevant market data to identify new business opportunities to fully realize customer needs 
  • Owner of Marketing calendar & material/collateral to support Kotahi's sales team defend and grow market share  
  • Working with NPD & Digital teams in the development of new customer centric products/services and their commercialization into BAU 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE 

  • Tertiary qualification in Marketing or other relevant business related subjects 
  • 5-7 years’ marketing and analytics experience preferably within a services or B2B organisation 
  • High level of marketing exposure and understanding of marketing strategies 
  • In depth experience in developing and leveraging customer research and insights 
  • Brilliant communication and influencing skills 
  • strong commercial acumen 
  • Proven leadership abilities in building and motivating high performance teams 
  • Technically astute, you have data modelling skills. As well as the ability to extract insights and solve problems using qualitative and quantitative research and analysis 
  • Strong Project Management skills 
  • Solid knowledge and experience with Microsoft Tools & Power BI 
  • Some level of shipping, supply chain or logistics industry knowledge is beneficial  

Customer Development Manager

The purpose of the role  

  • Support National Customer Manager on the delivery of Volume & Value commitments to Kotahi 
  • Manages allocated existing customer portfolio (2/3) and ‘hunter gatherer’ (1/3) of new business   
  • Works closely with Customer Operations Team as escalation point for operational issue and conflict resolution 
  • Owns customer plans, MOT, CS, DSO’s, RFP’s and negotiate sell of ocean freight solution 
  • Where appropriate, takes ownership of new product offerings for this channel following completion of NPD stage gates and drive successful commercialization 
  • Works closely with Customer Operations Team as escalation point for operational issue and conflict resolution 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE 

  • Minimum 3-5 years background in sales within the freight forwarding or shipping line sector or experience in supply chain management. 
  • Previous Experience in business development and managing sales cycles 
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills 
  • Knowledge of supply chain processes 
  • Tertiary qualified in supply chain/logistics or business related subjects is preferred  
  • Ability to develop, manage and maintain successful relationships 
  • Ability to convert customer needs into business requirements and actions
