Kotahi supports primary industry innovation

MilktechNZ wins Producer Award, at the Primary Industries Zealand Awards

A reliable, agile and sustainable supply chain has kept Kiwi exporters competitive on the world stage as they navigate global disruption, according to Kotahi, New Zealand’s largest containerized exporter.

“The last 12 months has shown us, more than ever, the importance of a sustainable and reliable supply chain, that has enabled our exporters to secure opportunities against other supply chains currently struggling,” said David Ross, Kotahi Chief Executive, speaking at the Primary Industries New Zealand Awards, in Auckland.

“Our strong cargo pool, strategic carrier and port partners and our planning and optimisation capability, has given exporters on our platform sustainable performance others have not had in these difficult conditions,” said Mr Ross.

Kotahi is the sponsor of the Producer Award, at the Primary Industries New Zealand Awards 2022, which recognises and celebrates a standout food producer in the New Zealand primary sector. The winner, MilktechNZ was recognized for demonstrating a sustainable approach to their production processes and has shown considerable success over the past 12 to 18 months.

Kotahi is proud to acknowledge Hamilton-based MilktechNZ for their innovation and leadership in milking technology, striving to make a difference, with their brand recognized for making a positive contribution to New Zealand’s dairy industry.

Primary Industries New Zealand Summit and Awards, run by Federated Farmers, marks its fourth year in 2022.
